No account for local Git work

BEYOND THE NEXT COMMIT

Your whole workflow.
Your way of working.

Keep code and CI in context, give each project its own setup, and choose how AI fits your work.

01

Code, PRs, and CI. Together.

Browse and create GitHub or Bitbucket pull requests, then follow Actions or Pipelines in the same repository context.

Get a desktop notification when a watched run finishes, while SaGit stays open.

GitHub + Bitbucket Cloud
02

Switch projects. Keep your setup.

Separate client work and personal projects into workspaces, each with its own repository tabs, GitHub and Bitbucket connections, AI keys, and preferences.

Use linked worktrees to work across branches side by side.

Workspace-specific connections
03

Your models. Your keys. Your call.

Choose OpenAI or Anthropic and bring your own API key. Summarize diffs, draft commit messages, and prepare PR descriptions when you ask.

Keys stay in your OS credential store. Saved summaries reopen without another AI request.

Optional AI with your own provider

Everyday Git is covered, too. Branch history, precise staging, stashes, worktrees, and conflict resolution are built in.

Features reflect current development. Check the release notes for the build you download.

MINDFUL OF YOUR MACHINE

More room for your work.

Your Git client lives alongside your editor, terminals, and everything else you’re building. SaGit is designed to keep that overhead in check.

MEMORY

Load what’s needed.

History loads in batches of 500 commits, with visible rows rendered as you scroll. File diffs load when you open them.

CPU

Respond to changes.

Native file watching detects repository changes. A short debounce groups bursts of activity into a refresh, with polling as a fallback.

APP FOOTPRINT

Use what’s already there.

Built with Rust and Tauri, SaGit uses your platform’s system WebView to display its interface.

Actual CPU and memory use varies with your platform, repository size, and active operations.

YOUR REPOSITORIES. YOUR DESKTOP.

Start local. Stay in control.

Local Git work needs no SaGit account or hosted service. Remote operations use your Git authentication. Optional AI sends the selected diff directly to your chosen provider when you ask; API keys stay in your operating system’s credential store.

Git is required. Installers and release notes are hosted on GitHub.

View all releases
Before you install

SaGit is in active development. macOS builds are not Apple-notarized, and Windows installers are not Authenticode-signed, so your operating system may display a trust prompt. Read the installation notes in the release repository before opening the app.

AI features are optional and require your own provider API key. Provider usage charges and data policies apply.
